In an Era of Expectation

In an era where the weight of succeeding looms over us more than ever before. Where 8 billion people in a globalized society are comparing themselves to the hyper-rich of social media, the families of wealth, or the individuals fortunate enough to make a good life for themselves in a world that seems hell-bent on taking advantage. This all creates inflated expectations that can cripple individuals who live their lives attempting to reach them. More people want to be “famous” or “rich” today than ever before, but If failure can so easily be related to pain within the brain, it’s not surprising that so many people are struggling to accept themselves when the majority of us grow old without reaching these inflated goals.
